The rotary screw compressor is designed for low pressure applications with inlet pressures ranging from vacuum pressure up to 100 psig and discharge pressures up to 350 psig. Screw compressors are commonly used in a variety of air, process gas, process refrigeration and natural gas applications. Screws provide a much wider operating range and lower maintenance costs than conventional reciprocating machines. The machines are much smaller and create much lower vibration and noise levels than piston machines as well.
